Spot Metering

Sponges at Tarpon Springs, FL hang to dry out on this boat. (I am still playing with the functions on my camera. Metering is a fancy word for measuring the light that will be in your picture. Hey, took me a while to figure that out, even with help.) It was a cloudy day so I focused my camera (using the * button) on the lightness of these long sponges.  Too much light, wrong spot to focus.

Here I focused on the darker sponges and it made a better colored picture.

I overheard a conversation where two were discussing the Bible. One said it was a book that you could either take as a history of people, or like some do, a religious thing. That person also said that it's a fun thing to study for learning cultures of people. The second one responded, I like to read it, but it's so confusing. This reply sounded so disappointed.

Is the Bible just a book no matter how you "spot" it?

"Everything was created through him; (Jesus) nothing-not one thing!-came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light is the real thing; every person entering Life he bring into Light." John 1:3-4, 9 (MS) parenthesis mine-

No, when my life is spot metered through the Lord, His light will shine even in darkness. Meter my days on You, Father.

Hide the Children and Bar the Door

What you are going to see, may make you fall back in disgust. Protect the children's young eyes and you, be prepared.

This picture is of me, no makeup, not even mascara-yikes! The naked face, age, blemishes and all.

But, can you tell which side I put the Artistry Creme Lux on? (I sure hope so.) :) Please see post below.

And I promise, this was only after 15 minutes! You can ask hubbie, if you think I'm lying. And he sure was anxious for me to do the other side, so my face wouldn't stick like this. teehee....

The next morning everything was fine. The creme felt like the tingle you get when you eat mint. After two days, my blotchy skin has evened out some and a couple of my sun spots-hey, I live in Florida-have faded a bit. Wow. So, the verdict is-it works. Thank you dear daughter. I found something neat in skin care, but this is even better. John saw and heard the proof of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of our heavenly Father. He gives us joy, so we want to share it too.

Oh, and to wash the bad taste out from the first picture, I'll leave you with a more pleasant one.
