Check this out. My grandson has got rhythm in his bones. He'll be 3-years-old in October. He was not taught this. His mom heard him from the other room and came in to record it. Ha, I'm not sure I could do that with 2 drumsticks! :P Our little music man.

And this is my petite, 10-year-old going on 15, grand daughter. She plays soft ball with the older girls, 'cause she's so good, of course.  Hey, I told you this was brag-a-mania!!
She cheers on her teammates and plays second base. During her last game she made a double play! Whoo Hoo. (Oh, that means she got 2 people out during one play-for all ya'll non-sports readers...teehee.)

They both can sing great, too.

OKAY, OKAY, I promise, if you'll brag about your kids, grandkids dogs, whatever~I'll gladly rejoice with you.

"I want to see your chosen succeed, celebrate with your celebrating nation, join the Hallelujahs of your pride and joy." Psalms 106:5

I love celebrating with you and your life-loves. Tell me!

Summertime Recipe

Yummo, summer tomatoes! Hunsader Farms opened their farms early to u-pick as many immigrant pickers did not return to pick this year. (Because of our crack down on illegals.) Anyway, hubby and I went and picked a bushel and 1/2 of tomatoes for $3.00, yes $3.00!!
That basket is a bushel. These are just a few all laid out on the patio table.

So here's my most favorite recipe for summer tomatoes. (I had posted this before, but I can't help it-it's just soooo good!)

Tomato Mozzarella Toast

2 pounds fresh tomatoes (about 5 cups)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/3 cup thinly sliced fresh basil or chopped parsley
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 thin slices of prosciutto or ham
1 cup (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat broiler. Core tomatoes and chop. In large bowl, combine tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of the olive oil, basil, garlic, salt and pepper. Let stand at least 30 minutes. Slice rolls in half horizontally, then vertically. Brush cut side of bread with the remaining olive oil, place on a shallow pan and broil until golden. Reserve about 1/3 cup of tomato mixture; spoon remaining mixture on rolls. Top each with 2 slices of prosciutto, 1/4 cup of mozzarella. Add equal amounts of reserved tomato mixture on top. Broil until cheese melts, about 3 minutes. Serve immediately! Quick before the cook eats it all.
Serves 4.

"Who gives food to all flesh, for His lovingkindness is everlasting." Psalm 136:25

I'm glad He created tomatoes!

Big Guy "T"

While this big guy was cooling in a mud puddle, another was trying to chase, now I use that word loosely, a smaller tortoise. And because his legs were longer, he caught up, and bumped the smaller one's shell.

But this guy watched us people passing by, until an ant walked in front of his nose. Big guy "T" looked like he wanted that tasty snack. The large head followed it from right to left, opened his mouth and missed. The little ant was too quick for him and my camera.

He looked my way as if to say, "What, what are you starin' at?" Comfy in his spot, he waited for another unsuspecting snack to come along. Usually when there is one ant, there are plenty more. (No I didn't wait to see if he got one.)
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 3:18

When I act like Big Guy "T," all comfy and resist growing and learning, I miss out on things around me, and don't even see the little things that pass me by. Lord, give me knowledge to know when to step out of my puddle and the desire to learn from You.

What is This?

I saw this crazy creature at the Richmond Zoo while on my trip. Do you know what this is? Well, I'll give you a clue. It's nearest relation is a horse and a rhino, and one resource says an elephant.

In a group they are called, Candles. Seriously??

They have four toes on the front feet and three on the back. Have you guessed yet? The babies are born with white dapples and stripes for camouflage.

They are great swimmers and can feed on aquatic plants. Strange, huh, with those feet?

That long nose is used to grab leaves and plant life. It also uses it like a snorkel. (Now that would freak me out, if I was swimming!)

Okay, If you don't know, it's a ~ Tapir. Man, that's one mixed-up animal. Different number toes on it's feet, uses its nose to grab food, and snorkels. I don't know why it's related to horses....

"Friend, don't go along with evil. Model the good. The person who does good does God's work. The person who does evil falsifies God, doesn't know the first thing about God." 3 John 11

Do I look like a mixed up person to others? Do I say one thing and do another, or pretend to be something I'm not?

Lord make me a good role model for You, even if I have odd numbered toes.

Donkey's End?

Life sometimes makes you feel like you're the either the donkey's patootie, or on top of it, and you're still not high enough to jump over that fence.
Or you see what might be ahead, but your vision is still unclear.
And sometimes you just stand and wonder why.

Am I alone in this?

"Jesus answered, 'You don't understand now what I'm doing, but it will be clear enough to you later.'" John 13:7

That "later" could mean waiting until heaven. But I do know that I can trust Him to be just, faithful and full of grace in time of need.

Has God cleared a way for you lately?

Ever feel boxed in?
Just want to stretch above the rut?
Or soar aloft, just for a little while?

Well, I'm going to!
I'm leaving this week to see my grand kids, daughter-in-love and son (he's a bit crazy like me.) Yippee!
Look at'em hunting Easter eggs. Isn't that just the cutest?

This week how will you stretch, soar or break out? Let me know-hey, take this as a challenge! Come on, you can do it!

"Moreover, I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you." Ezekiel 36:26

I love how the Lord has renewed my spirit with this fun trip! Secret is, He can do that anywhere, anytime. I just need to be more observant.

(After Tuesday I won't be on, until next week.) But leave me a comment about your challenge/accomplishment that you did this week.
