This is me after all my Christmas goodies with the family. We had tons of food. My son helped me make the most delicious standing rib roast and dijon-marmalade ham to name a few. Then we had cookies, snacks and my daughter made wonderful truffles and other candies.
Of course with my amazing will power I ate all that I could, fearing there would be nothing left the next day. HA! There was even some left over after I sent everyone home with stuff. And I know it's sinful to waste things, so I couldn't just throw it out.
So here I am.
Now get this. Libbie at The Middlest Sister has a contest going for the best looking cupcake and I'm considering it!! (See her post dated, Monday, Jan. 10th.) Now you know you can't make just ONE cupcake......
I didn't take a picture of what kind of toad this is, so if anyone knows, please tell me. (Taken again at Busch Gardens)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy....gentleness, self-control (self-restraint.) Galatians 5:22-23
Why, oh why did that word get slipped in there? I guess my angst with it shows how much I need it.
Oh, Lord, just one more cupcake?

That toad looks a lot like an uncle of mine :-)
Have a nice day :-)
~Ron
I felt that way too with all the goodies! :O)
That is one chubby toad, Karen. Doesn't look at all like you. He's much too round. And no smile, no twinkle in the eye. Besides, you're taller!
Love you, my friend!
So you had to talk about it and remind me. :-) I hurried to the mirror to see if it was my reflection you had photographed. Almost but not quite. Love this Karen. You do have such a talent. Are tadpoles before Toads?
Your plump tadpole friend Clella
The expression of that toad's face is priceless. love it. You always bring a smile to my face and God's spirit to my heart!
Of course you can make just one cupcake.. one VERY BIG cupcake. ;)
Yes, I agree with Hilary! I don't know about the toad but your Christmas food sounded great Karen! - Dave
*laughing* at Ron's comment -
I wrote something else, but lost my comment -dang- well.... I'll just say Hi! :-D
Oh my goodness Karen, you crack me up! And I hear you on feeling exactly like a tubby toad right after Christmas. Thank God our church is doing the Daniel Fast right now.
Hoppy New Year! *snort*
You have good reason to look like that toad, Karen, but luckily you don't! I can sure relate to feeling like that though! I'm afraid many of us fail in that self-control, especially around Christmas!
Ron, lol....love it! He was just too funny, not to take a pic of.
Diane, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :P
Laura, you are too kind! But you're right, I am taller, tho' not by much.
Clella, you make me laugh. So funny!
Jeanie, I thought so, too.
Hilary, oh, thank you. It's hard to wean off this addiction cold turkey, or toady. :)
Dave, the food was amazing. My son is a great chef.
Kathryn, lol.....
Julie, we have to laugh at ourselves, right?
Connie, yes, that's the dreaded "s" word.
Thanks all for laughing with me!
Oh you should torture me too by sending me a pic of a yummy cupcake! I LOVE the torture! :) Glad you are considering!! I hope you do Karen! You are SUCH a creative mind!
Love the toad...I thought that was me at first glance...so glad to read it was you :) Phew... :)
i always smile how God put *self-control* last! i think because it's the hardest fruit to stay on the branch long enough to mature (speaking for myself). LOL!!!!!
Hey lady. Putting a recipe up at the blog today using Diesel's seasoning. :)
Hope the new year is a wonderful & blest one for you.
Libbie, laughing....you are so cute!
Janean, I like that-"the hardest fruit to stay on the branch."
Angie, checked out your recipes. OH YUMMO! Thanks for highlighting David again.:)
That photo is tremendous. Why aren't you a professional photographer?!
