What'cha Looking At?

No matter if you've got a long nosey nose and search alone,

Or feel the need to hang with the crowd and look,

Or if the old "do" and the new "do" watch together,

What are you looking for?

"I sought the Lord and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." Psalms 34:4

I live because the Lord heard me searching. He answered me before I knew the questions and keeps my "dread" at bay. Whatever you're seeking-He's the One. I promise. :)

As A Man Thinks....

This Cormorant was fishing in the gulf waters off Tarpon Springs. Do you think he knows there's a piece of grass a'hanging out of his mouth? His reflection is all wavy and if he tried to look and check his mouth, the grass would go under the water. Did the other birds "honk" at him and laugh? Should I've told him?

This Ibis stands tall in the water and would be able to see his reflection. But it doesn't show his true colors or exactly how smooth and classy he is. But then he's got water dripping off his beak....

Here the cormorants and seagull look almost like mirror images of themselves. But in the water, they can't tell if their wet feathers make their butts look big.

"Finally brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things."  Philippians 4:8

We are not what we think we are, but we are what we think. (That's not my quote, but can't remember where I heard it.)

Lord, help my thoughts be about what You mean to my life, so I reflect You. Show me what I really reflect to others. (gulp)

Love On This Valentine's Day!

Whether you're a normal couple...:)

Or if you're a bit wild and crazy,

Or if you're just barely sucking air,

Or single,

Or like to hang with friends,

Everyone needs a bit of love this Valentines Day.

God wants to give His love to all who trust Him.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Happy Love Day, Friends!

"Who Let the Pythons Out?"

Read that title with the "Who let the Dogs out?" tune.

Pythons are taking over our Everglades. Please watch the video below.

Wildlife officials say people who've owned these pythons as an exotic pet let them go in the wild when they get too big. Now they are eating the little creatures. Rabbits, foxes, bobcats, raccoons and other mammals are hard to find there. Pythons are eating the wading birds and even alligators! Officials know, because they find them in their stomachs!

They don't know how many pythons are out there, but experts estimate that thousands to hundreds of thousands could be slithering about. Eewuuuuu!

What started out as a "pet" now is a threat.

"Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, here's what you do; say nothing evil or hurtful; run after peace for all you're worth. God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he's asked; but he turns his back on those who do evil things." 1 Peter 3:10-12 (MS)

What "pythons" do I let go when I'm tired of holding them in? Gripes, sarcasm, self-pity, self-entitlements, criticism...? When those pythons are small, they're easy to keep caged, but let them out they will eat all the little furry, fluffy, flying fragile things around and grow large and ugly.

Lord, help me to keep control of those things that would hurt others, me or You.
