cleaning in the garage. Crushed down some metal items and stuffed them in the bags.
That's what you're supposed to do, right? Stuff them in?
Anyway, the ends still poked out through the bag. So being considerate of my garbage men, I placed duct tape over those "pokey" ends to keep the men from hurting themselves. (Or was it, I didn't want to look like the local junk yard?)
Tell me, honestly, has anyone else ever done this?

When a major overhaul in life comes and the regular "bags" I use don't work, Lord please duct tape all the gaping open wounds.

We've done that! But then the garbage men don't take it because they're wise to people's metal-bagging tricks. Boo. I'm glad God will accept my duct-taped self!
I dom't think I've ever duct-taped a garbage bag! But my prayer is the same as yours, Karen, that God will duct-tape me.
Our bags have to be in cans so they just pick up the whole can and dump it. Doesn't the metal shift and create a new hole?

We have a dumpster, since our garbage pick up is for both the church and parsonage. So, I've never had to do that.
But the Lord has had to duct tape my pokies and stuffies a lot!

I just know if it pokes out before it even goes out the garage-somethin's gotta be done.
And yes, God uses His duct tape often! :)
Sometimes I try to use my own tape before turning my gaping holes over to Him. Mine doesn't stick so well...

We take our garbage to the local dump so we don't use a garbage service!
I think duct tape is the 8th wonder of the world. I wonder how people ever lived without it? :-)
We use these big garbage bins where I live but I do love the prayer to duct tape my gaping holes, Lord. that is a great prayer!
Karen, I think I would try to make sure that the items fit right into the bags. The collectors can be particular sometimes. Mainly for safety sake. - Dave
