Herbi-Knowledge

Spring is here, well at least in Florida....sorry.... Time to plant more fresh herbs. These are ones that survived our winter. I need to go to Home Depot and get the other herbs that I like.

This is a contest, so guess what these are. Now no fair looking them up somewhere-just off the top of your head. Those who guess right will get a bottle of my son David's, Diesel Seasoning, Virginia state approved and inspected. Let's see how "herbi-knowledgeable" you are.

I'll not tell until the next post what they are. :) Really now, can it get any easier? Yes, there can be more than one winner.

Oh, and you can have your choice of seasonings, Diesel's Signature Spice Blend, Kickin' Cajun Blend or Jerk Spice Blend. These are made when ordered and contain no additives, preservatives or MSG. Please state spice preference on your comment.

"Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen that you may live." Isaiah 53:2-3

Our Father gives us food literally and spiritually so that we can live. Isn't He great?

EEEK. I'm so bad at this stuff but I'm in awe of the people above me who guessed!

Karen: You could have at least made them parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme, and we could all have a 60s sing-a-long.

But Sage, Rosemary, and Oregano are right, as someone said above. Not sure about the last. Does that mean I get 3/4 of a bottle?? :)

Hmm... I've had some of them in my garden, but I'm guessing at #4. I never have any luck with basil so haven't seen it flower.

1. sage
2. rosemary
3. thyme
4. basil ?

How nice that your son is into creating such delicious sounding seasonings. His signature blend appeals to me. I'm sure God approves of us using spices... after all, He said we were to be salty Christians. :)

Okay, here are my guesses. What a fun thing to do!

1. Sage
2. Rosemary
3. Thyme
4. This one is totally a guess. Rose hips? Would that even count as an herb? Hmmm....

Thank you all for playing, if I hadn't grown them, I wouldn't know either. :)

Libbie, that's such a soft word picture-baby in arms. :)
