I'm lookin' at you!
Yikes, this gator was close but a sturdy glass kept us apart at the Florida Aquarium.
Not many vunerable places on him with his thick skin. But that eye....
How does he see where he's going underwater to avoid dangers? Of course, yep, I know you know, he keeps it open. Duh!
But, God gave him even more protection with that special eyelid.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride." Psalms 46:1-3
Father you are my protection, when the waters threaten to overwhelm, give my eyes a special vision to see You through it all.

Hi Karen! God protects us in so many special ways!!! Thanks for reminding me of that as we are driving home to Minnesota from Alabama today. You reminded me to stop what we are doing and pray as a family for safe travel, thank you!
Karen what attracted me to this critter is his smile. He is posing for you and the camera. LOL
Beautiful. But that's about as close as I ever want to get to a gator!
Those eyes make him look so primeval. Good shots!
Karen, I would not have thought that he needed much protection! - Dave
Yikes is right! We have a l critters around here in California (mostly crazy drivers) but gators ain't one of them.

~Ron
Libbie, have a safe and fun trip. Know you had a blast with your kids!
Jeanie, I saw that too, but it looks more like the smile of the fox before he eats the chicken!
Steph, me too!
Lady Fi, thanks
Dave, no he doesn't need much, but God decided to protect his eyes, too. :)
Ron, thanks you have a great one, too!
