Gimme Those Wet Diapers!

Let me hear it for wet diapers!!

A one, an a two and three:

Gimme a W!

Gimme a(n) E!

Gimme a T!

What do you get? Wet Diapers! Yea! Go Diapers!

That's exactly what I want for my grandson seen above. He's been terribly sick with only 3 wet diapers a day. We're going for five, the number the Doctor wants.

You know I've never prayed for wet diapers before. But I will cry when God answers this prayer. He's 16 months and has lost six pounds. We believe he's turned the corner, God bless his little heart. But I'm still praying for big, soggy, fat diapers.

"Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer." Psalm 4:1

What is the strangest thing you've prayed for?

Hope he's doing better. They can dehydrate so easily.

Keep us updated. Will pray.

When my daughter was little she got very very sick. We were getting a syringe and filling it with a teaspoon of water at every 15 minutes and that was all that kept her in the hospital.

I have prayed for a cease-fire in the rapid coughing from my children...the kind that wakes the whole house and shakes the sick ones lungs... I have laid in my bed, knowing there is nothing else I can do, and begged God to just reach down and still the tickle that causes them to rattle so... Long nights....

Am praying for the little one...and your heart while you wait on the Lord. :)

I'll add him to my prayer list! He is such a darling & it is sooo hard when everything isn't working just perfectly. I'll pray for you & mom too. Thanks for sharing Karen!

I will pray, too, for the precious little one.

Small, insignifant stuff for me, like that I'll find something I'm looking for. It works, though. He listens to all.

*hugs*

Karen, you and I laughed the other day that praying for wet diapers was one of the strangest prayers we ever sent up but God does listen. Just imagine the prayers He hears! keep us posted on Caden.

Kathy, thanks, I know that's a danger. Little guy just doesn't want anything to drink.

Parsley, thank you. It's so hard with the little ones, especially when they don't talk yet. Will update you.

Aww poor little guy. If he doesn't want to drink, hopefully he'll take to something like jello or other moisture-laden snack.. popsicles, etc. I'll be sending best thoughts his way.

Oh and when you want a wet diaper, Gimmie a W, E and T doesn't cut it. You have you yell "Gimmie a P!" ;)

I will agree for those wet diapers, Karen. Five per day, in Jesus' Name! Our God is bigger than any mountain!!! YES!

Please keep us updated.

Blessings,
Jen

When my son wanted me to have another baby and I said, "Nope," he said, "Dear God,please send us lots of babies wearing tall hats." I think he'd seen a cartoon of the new year, with a (soggy, wet, yes!) diaper and a tall hat! Too funny! We had no more babie, but my son is now an animator. He can draw all the babies he likes... isn't God sweet?

It's not actually the first time I have prayed for wet diapers, or another kind of diapers, either. It's amazing how important that is! Hope he is well on his way to recovery. Will pray for you all this weekend. He's to little to be six pounds lighter!

Jeanette, awww, cute story! I have to keep telling my emotions that our God is that big! Thanks :)

Kate, so nice to hear from those who have been through that. I never "needed" to pray for that with my kids. Yes, he is little. He was 28 something and now down to 21. They have to buy smaller diapers. Thanks, will keep all updated. (hugs)
