Pursue-verance

"Never let the sense of failure corrupt your new action." Oswald Chambers

Every morning, afternoon and night, Major can't wait to go out in the back yard and hunt for rabbits. There is only one, right now, that repeatedly comes in our back yard to rest and sometimes nest in the ferns.

It doesn't matter to Major whether the rabbit is there or not, he prances about the house until we let him out. Dashing from rabbit spot to rabbit spot, he tracks, anticipating a new run. I guess it's the pursuit that he loves. When the rabbit is there he chases it out of the yard until the rabbit scoots under the fence.

Not catching the rabbit does not bother him. He perseveres with renewed eagerness each day.

"And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance, and perseverance, proven character, and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint." Romans 5:3-5

I need to take a lesson from Major and keep pursuing my dreams and visions even if they don't come true right away. For I know that it's in the "keeping on" that builds the person, with or without the "rabbit." And God's hope does not disappoint.

What dream do you need "pursue-verance" for?

Firstly, Major is beautiful! Kisses to him!

Secondly, great post. I suppose right now I'm content without any major goals to accomplish but I will learn from Major and perservere when my next ones come up.

Ready for conference? I guess I'm so caught up in trying to meet my Tyndale deadline that I'm not as excited about conference. I need to recharge.

I LOVE your pics, Karen. The bunny is adorable and looks remarkably similiar to the bunny who lives in our back yard. Our dog, Sophie, would give ANYTHING to be allowed off her leash to go bunny-hunting...the only problem is, she runs for miles and and miles. (She's an Australian Shepherd...) and then when she gets home, she's usually wet and filthy.

Here's to hoping Major catches a bunny soon! *smile*

P.S. - A prayer for your grandson:

"Father, I ask for your healing touch on Karen's grandbaby. Lord, you know what his body needs and you know what the doctor says. Thank you for intervening in this situation. Please enable him to retain nourishment and fill 5 or 6 diaperes a day, in Jesus name, Amen."

Major is a major beauty! I think that for dogs, half of the time the joy is just in the chase. As for the rabbit, I really wouldn't want to see Major make this catch.

Continuing to send my best thoughts for your adorable grandson. I hope he improves very soon.

Parsley, thanks for your prayers and Major sends smooches your way!

Kathy, I'm not quite ready. Hopefully we will all recharge there.

Julie, I remember your beautiful dog. Major would love to play with him. :) Thank you for your prayers.

Hilary, no, Major didn't get this one. I snapped the picture and shooed him out the yard. :) Thanks for your good thoughts!

What a beautiful dog Major is. I wish I had him here at my house. Rabbits keep eating all my lovely flowers. Wish they would eat all my lovely weeds! My dog can't even see rabbits for some reason... The other day a deer walked through our yard and my dog just laid there.

And how is that grandson of yours? I pray that he is well on his way to recovery by now.

Hopefully you will have a brilliant week!
Kate

Karen: I will continue to pray for your grandson, for Jesus' healing.

Major serves as a great example of perseverance, but I sort of hope he doesn't catch that cute widdle bunny!

Love you,
Jen

Kate, oh, Major would definitely chase all your rabbits away. But, your beautiful flowers would be trampled. Grandson doing a bit better-goes to Dr Tues. Thanks

Jeanette, thanks for the continued prayers. He's a bit better. No, I did not let Major catch this one. :)

Janean, oh, I'm sure I've missed many. I'm glad the widdle wabbit stayed still long enough for me to snap that pic.

Major doesn't give up.

You're not going to give up.

And neither am I.

We are dreamers. God is the dream giver.

He takes what doesn't exist and brings it into existence.

I prayed for your precious grandson.

Sweet dreams.
