Accept the Curves

I know, I'm a bit strange, but the twisted limbs on this pine tree caught my eye. I love the artistic curves and twirls. Most pine trees that I know are just straight-limbed. This one has dropped some of it's needles already, but that made this picture even more interesting.

People come in all different ways. Not all are straight and even. Some have lost their needles. (Isn't that a nice way to put it?) But shouldn't that make them more interesting?

Say, I might even be in that group.

"Wherefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God." Romans 15:7

Lord, let me rejoice in the uniqueness of each person weathered by their environment, heritage or personality.

The most interesting people, as trees, are the ones who might not look so "straight and even" on the outside.

So true -- I have to remind myself of this sometimes, with high school students!

That IS a nice way to put, Karen. "Have you lost your needles?" LOL

Thanks for the colorful reminder to accept every unique personality. Even if they are twirly.

Kathy and Stephanie, thanks, and yes, it's interesting to study people rather than immediately conclude something.

Oh, Laura, yes High-schoolers! Whew! :P

Juile, thanks-I think that's my new saying....

Dawn, oh, I DON'T enjoy all my curves-I have lot's to take off.

Thanks Jeanie, and Dave I'm preaching this to me!

Let me go out on a limb to say that I think you're barking up the right tree here. ;)

Great post, Karen! Nice photo and comparison to people. Isn't it remarkable how uniquely each person is made, and shouldn't we truly treasure that creative uniqueness?

I like to think I'm interesting rather than using words like "broken" or "flawed" or "awful to be around." lol

Beautifully put! It all comes down to grace ... accepting it from the Father so we can give it to others who are a little "twisted" like we are! :)

Hilary, ha,ha...too funny!

Jeanette, we all know people like that, I just pray I'm not one to someone else!

Connie, thanks.

Rachel, yes, I like interesting, too! :)

Melinda, we are all a little bit twisted sisters, right?
